What’s up with this Blog?
I’ll admit, this blog is a little unconventional, but hey it’s mine! I originally started this website as an online resume when I was searching for a job in the SEO industry, and it paid off. So after obtaining my dream job I thought to myself, now what? Do I cancel the domain and just be content with the rest of my career? No, that wouldn’t be a smart move. If you haven’t read the ‘About Me’ page do so after reading this one. I originally got started in SEO when the non-profit I was working for needed some help in promoting their website online. It was love at first backlink. Ever since I started learning SEO (2007) I’ve been applying everything I learned in SEO to aid the other non profit and small business websites in my area, no charge. While I would work along side the owners I explained to them how to maintain the meta tags, how to get good backlinks, and the importance of keeping the content on the website as fresh as possible. But today I don’t have as much time as I used to in order to explain new and innovative ways to promote their websites. So I decided I would compile a list of ‘My Picks’ of the best SEO or Social Media articles published around the net once a week. And so, ‘My Picks of the Week’ was born. I’m no Aaron Wall, I never will be. The picks I post are geared towards a small group of individuals I’m in close relationship with who don’t want a full blown course in SEO, but just need enough information to get by with the local results. So what’s up with this blog? It’s here for friends, if you’d like to leave a comment or have any suggestions please do so. I’d love to hear what you’ve got to say. Thanks for stopping by.
